I am a professor of German, digital humanist, and experienced academic administrator with more than two decades of teaching, research, and leadership in higher education. As a former department chair and creator of successful interdisciplinary programs, I bring a broad vision and strategic approach to liberal arts education, curriculum development, and institutional effectiveness. Feel free to check out the Promotional & Informational Materials that I have produced.

My work bridges scholarship and administration. I have published widely in German literature, digital humanities, and film studies, while also leading initiatives that have strengthened recruitment pipelines, modernized language curricula, and built cross-disciplinary partnerships across colleges. My leadership is grounded in a commitment to equity, innovation, and the future of the liberal arts.
I am currently seeking opportunities to contribute at the chair, dean, or associate dean level in a college of liberal arts or interdisciplinary studies. I bring demonstrated success in program development, external partnerships, faculty mentoring, and student-centered planning. I am especially interested in supporting units undergoing strategic realignment or reinvestment in the humanities.
I bring a wealth of experience as a program reviewer. As chair, I was selected to evaluate SACSCOC reports prepared by various units at my previous home institution. My role as an external reviewer for world languages departments has further honed my skills in assessing curriculum design, degree productivity, and strategic alignment with institutional goals. I have conducted thorough reviews for large and small departments and am readily available for audits, site visits, and follow-up consulting.
If you are a search consultant, search committee member, or department chair looking to learn more about my qualifications, leadership record, or current projects, I invite you to explore this site or contact me directly.
